PIT- Portale dell'italiano televisivo

The portal of the Italian language of television has been the achievement of 2008 PRIN project "The portal of the Italian language of television: corpora, genres and communication styles", financed by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR), with the collaboration of the Universities of Florence, Catania, Genoa, Milan and Tuscia and the support of the Accademia della Crusca.

In addition, the enhancement of the portal has lead to the following important secondary achievements:

The implementation of 2006 LIT (Italian Lexicon of television) extended to Mediaset channels (in the first phase, within 2006 PRIN, the corpus was limited to RAI channels), thus making up 168 hours of transcribed, marked and subtitled Italian of television interrogable on the portal.

The creation of the platform DIA-LIT (Italian Lexicon of Television in Diachrony), which currently collects 40 hours of broadcast (transcribed, marked, subtitled and interrogable), as a starting point for a systematic study of the history of the Italian of television.

Examination and broadening of the research on the language of television related with television genres, which have lead to the studies for the conference "Il portale della tv, la tv dei portali", 8 March 2013, Accademia della Crusca.
